SWINDON BLIND ASSOCIATION

We were formed in 1927 as a self governing branch of the county association.

We have been based at Craven House since 1937. The Association was originally titled 'Swindon Branch - Wiltshire Blind Association'.

We are a charity created in the early 1960s. Our constitution stated that we are 'An independent charity, affiliated to, but not controlled by Wiltshire Blind Association', When the county association decided to change their name to Wiltshire Sight, our trustees felt this did not reflect our commitment to blind people in Swindon  At an Extraordinary General Meeting on the 17th November 2014, it was formally agreed to change our name to our present title and amend our constitution accordingly.

We have changed our logo. Designed by Steve Beale,  it will appear on all our letterheads and can be seen on the page depicting our leading officers.
